Subway Station thus far

Okay, I've been building a subway station that's somewhat based off Toronto's side platform stations. It's still in progress, and your ideas can help me make the whole mezzanine level along with any other mods.

Yes, the understructure is blue. They're the most abundant pieces I have.

For a subway station it is a little too bright. If you could replace the red with grey or even black things would improve a great deal. Also, if you use SNOT for the platform and remove some of those studs it would look cleaner.

Great to see you building again!

Thanks James. It's great to be building again.

I was thinking of changing the centre from red to some darker colour but the lack of resources forced me to make it red sad smiley I guess I will have to invest in a large amount of dark grey/grey/black bricks very soon.

Yeah, that is a problem if you ran short of bricks. Maybe until you get more bricks you can just add a little but not change it all at once? For example the red part in the middle has at the top:

red - red - red
red - red
red

What if that was to change to something like:

red - red - red
black - black
red

That might make it look a little darker and thus feel a little more realistic? I look forward to seeing what you end up doing with this...
